Internal evaluation of school operations at Hamraskóli

Reykjavík City's Department of Education & Youth emphasizes systematic internal assessment at all workplaces. This internal evaluation is an integral part of school and recreational activities. It involves professional reflection and data analysis to assess the quality of education and whether intended results have been achieved based on predetermined criteria.

Through self-evaluation, schools examine and evaluate their own operations, strengths and areas for improvement. The self-assessment plan aims to promote continuous review and development, improving the learning environment and teaching for all students.

Internal evaluation development project

Hamraskóli, along with schools in the Eastern District, participates in a development project on internal evaluation. A joint plan outlines the aspects for internal evaluation in the coming years, with each school implementing and adapting the plan to its operations.  Hamraskóli has followed the plan outlined below. We have assessed and created improvement plans for the sections on Learning Outcomes, Responsibility and Participation, and Content and Curricula. The Professional Collaboration and Dialogue section has been assessed, with an improvement plan in progress.
