Field Trip to Elliðaárstöð

Seventh-grade students have visited the power station in Elliðaárdalur twice this winter.
This winter, seventh-grade students have taken two field trips to Elliðaárstöð. Staff at the facility educate young people about sciences, energy and resources, examining these subjects through an interdisciplinary approach.
During their first visit, students received a guided tour of the power station at Elliðaárstöð and conducted experiments with static electricity. They also learned about the remarkable world of electricity and the technological advancements that followed electrification.
On their second trip, students participated in a scavenger hunt. The students solved various challenges while learning about energy and sciences throughout the activity.
The students performed exceptionally well and brought great credit to their school.
