Parent Association's annual general meeting

The annual general meeting of Hamraskóli's parent association and a session on parent cooperation, social media, and cybersecurity will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 5:30 p.m. at Hamraskóli.

 

 

 

 

Program:

  1. Jóna Björk Viðarsdóttir, chair of the parent association, will present the association's work.
  2. Presentation on parent cooperation. Dagbjört Þorsteinsdóttir, project manager for parent cooperation, will discuss the importance of parent cooperation, protective factors and risk factors in children's lives. Research shows the preventive value of a united parent group, and a strong, cohesive parent group plays an important role in supporting and promoting a positive culture within their peer group.
  3. Presentation from Netvís. Haukur Brynjarsson, a specialist at Netvís, will give a presentation titled "The Algorithm That Raises Me" about social media, smart devices, artificial intelligence, information overload, age limits, cybersecurity, and much more.
